How Important Is Tonight’s Game For The UAlbany Great Danes?
The UAlbany Great Danes men's basketball team has had a rough start to the America East conference play so far this season. They currently sit at 1-4 overall and have a tough game Thursday night as they are hosting the Binghamton Bearcats who are tied atop the AE standings at 3-1 overall in conference play. The Great Danes are expected to get both Aaron Reddish and Malik Edmead back in their lineup which is huge moving forward. They have been lacking some major depth over the last few games and it has shown. I continue this discussion in my quick take from the Times Union:
It's not a must a win for the UAlbany men’s basketball team on Thursday, but a win over Binghamton at home would change the climate of the season. The America East is much more wide open this season, and the fact that Vermont already has two loses is rare. A win by the Great Danes gets them to 2-4, which is a lot better than 1-5 with a road trip next Wednesday to New Hampshire. The Great Danes have shown signs of life this season, and a win over first place Binghamton is the jump start they need in conference play.
MJ and I were joined by UAlbany head coach Dwayne Killings earlier this afternoon right here on Big Board Sports. DK updated us with the latest UA news and gave us a preview of Thursday night's matchup at Hudson Valley Community College. Below is our full interview with him.
This is a game the Great Danes can certainly win in what I expect to be a close and fun game. MJ and I will have the call on ESPN + and 104.5 The Team.
