The New York Mets GM is back at it. Sandy Alderson, who last season predicted that the Mets would win 90 games, has now predicted the team will win 89 games.  "We won 79 games last year, which was an improvement over the year before," Alderson told Chris Russo on MLB Network on Monday.

Alderson believes that he now has the roster that could advance his team to 10 more wins than last season. " We've got players with the potential to improve us by 10 games, which is what we need. "

The last time the Mets won 80 plus games, was in 2008 when they finished 2nd in the N.L East.
