It might have been the fiery words of Mets' manager Terry Collins that helped inspire the Mets to make a dramatic comeback today.Mets' manager Terry Collins vented last night following a 9-3 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates.  Collins said, "Do we play hard? Absolutely. That's not the issue. The issue is not effort. That's not it. It's about execution. We have to add on some points when we get the lead." More points, TC?  Ahh, okay.  You know a manager is having a bad day when he refers to runs as points.

Maybe TC's words helped fire up the Mets this afternoon though.  New York made a dramatic comeback from a 7-0 deficit to beat the Pirates 9-8.  It was the second-biggest comeback in New York Mets history.  It was a dramatic improvement from a disappointing effort the day before.  Maybe the Mets will go on a tear by scoring a lot of points after Terry Collins' mini tirade.
