Earlier today, we told you that UAlbany released its non-conference schedule for the 2015-16 season.

Well, on that schedule? Division III Oneonta State. The Red Dragons will come to SEFCU Arena on Nov. 21 to take on the three-time defending America East champions.

Earlier today, we caught up with Oneonta men's basketball coach Vince Medici to talk about how the game came about, his expectations for the meeting, and the challenge that UAlbany will represent.

It's clear as to why Oneonta would want to play Albany. For the Red Dragons, it helps prepare them for a rough SUNYAC schedule, and it looks inviting to recruits who are looking to play for a top-tier DIII program.

Furthermore, with a good alumni base in the Capital Region, I'm sure the Red Dragons will draw pretty well.

The game is the third of the season for Oneonta, while it's the fourth for UAlbany. The Danes will open with Kentucky, Boston, and Colgate.
