Singletary’s Three Lifts Danes Past UVM

Evan Singletary won the game for the Danes on Wednesday (UAlbany Athletics).


Evan Singletary hit a three-pointer with one second to play on Wednesday night and the UAlbany men's basketball team stayed perfect in America East play with a 47-44 win at Vermont.

After being deadlocked at 44-44, Singletary's shot moves the Danes to 13-7 and an undefeated 8-0 in league play.

Singletary had 13 points and 8 rebounds in the win while Sam Rowley led the way with 18 points. The Danes also got a great contribution from Ray Sanders -- a guard -- who led the team with 13 rebounds.

The Danes held the Catamounts to a 30 percent field goal percentage.

UAlbany will play at Maine on Jan. 31st.
