UAlbany Men Picked 3rd in America East
After back-to-back America East championships and the program's first NCAA tournament win, the UAlbany men's basketball team is picked to finish third in the preseason conference coaches poll.
The Danes, who beat Stony Brook in the A-East title game before beating Mount St. Mary's in the NCAA "First Four" game, took top-ranked Florida to the brink in the second round. They received 51 total points in the poll, nine behind Stony Brook and four behind Hartford.
Forward Peter Hooley was selected to the preseason all-conference squad.
UAlbany opens its season Nov. 15 at Providence.
