There was a catfight in the stands at Yankee Stadium on Friday that nearly turned one girl's lights out.

The New York Yankees beat the Detroit Tigers 7-6 on Friday night.  During the game, there was a fight between a Red Sox fan and a Yankees fan.  Hey, it doesn't even matter if the two teams aren't actually playing each other.  A fight can break out at any time.

The fight escalated at about the 1:18 mark.  The Boston fan slapped the New York fan.  The Yanks fan then showered the Sox fan with beer.  No big deal, just a minor skirmish at this point.  However, the Yankee fan then delivered a quick leg kick with her left foot.  The Boston fan was knocked over by the kick.  She ended up hitting her head on a guardrail.  Scary stuff.  The Sox fan staggered away.  It could've been much worse than that.

On a side note, 104.5 The Team, ESPN Radio will be taking a road trip to Yankee Stadium on Tuesday to watch the Yankees take on the Orioles.  Some of our tickets are very close to Section 328.  If you're thinking about wearing your Red Sox gear, you might want to bring some brass knuckles with you also.

Brian Noe is the Program Director at 104.5 The Team, ESPN Radio in Albany, NY.  Brian also hosts “The Noe Show” each weekday from 1-3pm ET on WTMM.
