There's an old saying that "Hindsight is 20/20" but in the case of former Albany Empire star receiver Malachi Jones his foresight appears to also be very clear. After last year's Arena Bowl Jones was picked up by the Seattle Dragons of the new and improved XFL. Malachi's days as a Dragon were numbered as he shortly thereafter joined the Montreal Alouettes. We all know now that the XFL was doomed thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, but what was it that made Malachi decide to take his talents north of the border?

Tommy Grady is one of the best quarterbacks in the history of the Arena Football League and he proved that his last time on the turf at the Times Union Center. Grady lead the Albany Empire to a 45 - 27 victory over the Philadelphia Soul. Number 4 threw for five touchdowns on his way to being named the Arena Bowl 32 MVP. Now that the Arena Football League has been forced to fold due to mistakes made by the old regime you'd think Grady would pack up his family and head to the next opportunity to play football. You'd be wrong, Grady is staying put.

We continue our trip down memory lane with forme Albany Empire players on Monday with the AFL's all-time and single-season Sack leader Joe Sykes. Sykes was one of the first players from the Albany Empire to come in studio with Levack and Goz and right away we knew we liked him. It was almost immediately clear that Joe was one of those players that "flipped the switch" when he was on the field but was super nice off the field. Where is Joe now and is football still in his future?

Levack and Goz have been tracking down and strolling down memory lane with some of the players and coaches that brought the latest Arena Football Championship to Albany. We caught up with head coach Rob Keefe. The always energetic and always competitive Keefe had a lot to share. Coach Keefe is ready to coach, helping an amazing non for profit and thinks Football will return to the Times Union Center.

The clock is ticking on Major League Baseball and the MLBPA finding a common ground and agreeing on the 2020 season. ESPN's MLB Insider Buster Olney joined Levack and Goz to add insight into what we can expect from both sides and just how much damage baseball has done to its image and reputation with the fans.

The Albany Empire will forever be the reigning champions of the Arena Football League. It is sad to think we may never see Arena Football in the Capital Region again BUT pretty awesome that Albany will be forever champs. One of the key contributors to the Empire winning the 2019 Arena Bowl was offensive lineman/ offensive weapon, Mo Ruffins. Levack and Goz caught up with "Big Mo" to talk football, see where he is now and discuss the recent protests in the Capital Region.

The Albany Empire may not be playing anymore but the team left its mark on the Capital Region. Levack and Goz have been reaching out to some of the guys and catching up. Collin Taylor AKA "CT" was always fun when he joined us in studio so we had to find out what the former Empire wide receiver was up to now.

The last time I (Levack) spoke to ESPN MLB insider Buster Olney he seemed very pessimistic that we'd see Major League Baseball this season. Since that conversation, there have been both positive and negative signs leading up to what would be a shortened season. Has Buster changed his stance or is he still leaning towards no baseball this season?

It's not hard to figure out why the players, staff and fanbase at Siena embraced Men's basketball head coach Carm Maciariello.
