According to the Boston Globe, the Boston Red Soxs  agreed to a seven-year, $217 million contract with the 30-year-old left-hander. Price went 18-5 with a 2.45 ERA last season with the Tigers and Blue Jays.

Price, has been labeled as a failure when it comes to the postseason. Price is David Price  104-56, 3.10 ERA in the regular season,  in the postseason he's 2-7 with a 5.12 ERA in 14 career playoff games . The Red Sox are throwing all their chips in with this signing. You can understand that with David Ortiz announcing his retirement, the team is looking to win immediately, but this is a bad contract.
